Engineering Experiential Education

Experiential Education in the College of Educations focuses on three areas to encourage intellectual development and provide our students with the tools to tackle issues facing the global landscape.

    International Engineering Program

Our International Engineering Program offers an unparalleled experience for students looking to become global engineers. Graduates from this program earn two degrees simultaneously: a B.S. in an engineering discipline and a B.A. in Chinese, French, German or Spanish. By combining the power of a strong engineering program, immersion in a foreign language and culture and a year abroad, the five-year program graduates students prepared for rewarding careers in a diverse array of fields around the world.

    Engineering Learning Communities

Living & Learning Communities at UConn allow students with similar majors and interests to live together in a residence hall. Students in each community participate in:

    • One-credit seminar course or course cluster together
    • Social and cultural events
    • Study groups
    • Volunteer work in areas of interest to you
    • Internships opportunities
    • Access to faculty, staff, and peer mentors
    • Guest speakers
    • Field trips and more

Learning Communities offer a fun way for students to experience UConn through a smaller, close-knit community. They place you on a path to make the most out of your time at UConn by creating a rich and integrated university experience.
