Shoshana Armington

Undergraduate Programs
Shoshana completed both her BS in Human Development and Family Studies and MA in Educational Psychology at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. Shoshana’s professional experiences in K-16 education have helped shape her holistic approach to the field of advising.
In March 2014, Shoshana joined the College of Engineering’s advising team and currently serves as a Director for the Undergraduate Program, Regional Campuses & Students in Transition. Shoshana’s primary responsibilities are to advise engineering students at all regional campuses regarding course scheduling, degree planning, and career enhancement, as well as support exploring engineering students. She also teaches multiple courses to support academic transitions, such as the campus change experience, first-year experience and major exploration. Shoshana works with non-degree students, transfer students, and readmitted students as they navigate their academic journey. Additionally, Shoshana serves as an advocate and resource for her students to help them find opportunities that will enhance their experience at UConn and beyond.
Shoshana serves on various University committees, is a UConn Connects Mentor, UConn Career Champion, TME staff liaison, and First Year Learning Experience facilitator. Shoshana was named a 2017-2018 FYE Instructor of the Year, 2019 Outstanding UConn Connects Mentor, 2020-2021 Outstanding Undergraduate Staff Advisor Award and received a University Citizen Award in Spring 2023.
In her free time, Shoshana enjoys golfing and keeping her active children busy.
