Biomedical Engineering

Major: Biomedical Engineering

Academic Background: In high school, I never would have imagined myself majoring in BME but I’m glad I did. I am a strong advocate of the value an undergrad degree in engineering is able to provide and the exit opportunities it can lead to. Currently, I am a junior with an interest in attending med school or pursuing a JD/MBA.

Research Interests: Working at the Cato Laurencin Institute for Regenerative Engineering at UConn Health, I am interested in the application of synthetic stem cells and tissue engineering.

Professional Experience: I serve on UConn’s Board of Trustees and am a STEM Fund analyst for Hillside Ventures, UConn’s student-led VC firm.

Interests/Hobbies: I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, skiing, biking and spending too much money on Italian food.
