Nina Fishman

Peer Advisor (Major: Materials Science & Engineering)

Academic Background: I am a sophomore studying Materials Science and Engineering.

Research Interests: I am interested in metallurgy and additive manufacturing.

Professional Experience: For the past few summers I have interned at an alkane manufacturing company, Roper Thermals. I worked in the lab to test and research their phase change materials, understanding their properties and applications. This past summer I was also a part of the UConn Talent Incubator Program as a Tech Park Fellow, where I worked on a project for Eversource regarding their transmission sector.

Interests/Hobbies: I am a big sports fan and love to watch them in my free time. I also enjoy playing guitar, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family!
