Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Major and anticipated graduation date: Chemical Engineering, 2024
Academic Background: I always really liked math and science, but I knew majoring in just one of those was not going to be right for me. I really enjoy the challenge and the problem-solving you get from an engineering degree. I am currently in my junior year majoring in chemical engineering and despite the many times I did not think I would survive a class or an exam or a presentation, I always ended up on the other side of things.
Research Interests: I am really interested in the material science aspects of Chemical Engineering.
Professional Experience: This past summer, I worked at Travelers Insurance in Hartford, CT. I was an intern on their personal insurance distribution team. I was able to develop both my technical skills and my soft skills throughout the summer.
Interests/Hobbies: At UConn, I am a part of Engineering Ambassadors, specifically the tour guide’s branch. Through this program, I give weekly tours to prospective engineering students and their families. I am a big Dunkin’ person and in my free time, I enjoy running and golfing.
