Christine Baskin

Academic Advisor

Stamford Campus

Christine joins the College of Engineering advising team after jumpstarting her undergraduate advising career as a summer orientation academic advisor on the Stamford Campus. Just prior to being a part of the Stamford Campus and while completing her master’s degree in Counselor Education at Central Connecticut State University, she worked as a career consultant on the Avery Point campus. In her role as advisor, Christine assists students in planning their academic success program including curriculum decisions, changes in major or minor, managing academic difficulties, completing a plan of study, identifying experiential learning opportunities, and other academic & life-skills related matters.

A proud UCONN alumna, she majored in political science, wrote for The Daily Campus, served on USG, and was a resident advisor in North Campus.

A Connecticut native, Christine and her family lived in the Washington DC area for 25 years before returning to Connecticut in 2016. In 2023, she traded corporate life as a marketing insights consultant for graduate school.

Outside of family and work, she practices yoga and meditation, is a devotee of audiobooks, word games, and puzzles, fills her IG feed with photos of oceans and flowers, and loves to bake and share sweet treats.
