Amy Donofrio

Amy has been working at UConn since 2016 and began her career at UConn as an academic advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and joined the College of Engineering advising team in 2020. Amy currently advises for the Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and Data Science in Engineering majors. In her role as advisor, Amy assists students with degree planning, course scheduling, curriculum development for advising, and providing resources and programming to assist students with achieving their academic goals.
Amy is also a co-director of the Transfer Connections Learning Community and a member of the New to Storrs Committee. Through these roles, Amy works with transfer and campus change students as they transition to UConn and the Storrs campus.
Amy graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She also completed her master’s in Education with a concentration in Instructional Design and Technology from Post University in 2014. In May 2023, Amy earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford. Her dissertation research focused on role conflict experienced by academic advisors who are also mothers.
In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her two daughters, reading, and being at the beach.
