Request to Change Engineering Major (For current College of Engineering students seeking to change majors to another Engineering major or to add a double major in the CoE):  

Submit requests to change engineering majors, including MEM on www.request.engr.uconn.edu.  

For current Engineering students, major change requests will be reviewed on a rolling basis, except for requests to change to MEM. MEM requests will be reviewed only in January and June. Deadline for the January MEM review is December 25th and June MEM review is May 25th.  

• Be in good academic standing with the College of Engineering (2.5 cGPA) 
• CS/CSE/CompE/DSE Change of Plan requests must additionally complete CSE 2050 with a grade of C or higher 
• Applicants to MEM are responsible for the stated minimums outlined here. 
• Please note, graduation timeline may be delayed if seeking a Change of Plan after completion of the 2000+ level major requirements 

• To apply for an Additional/ Dual Degree, please complete the “Additional Degree Petition” found on www.registrar.uconn.edu/forms instead of a request through the online portal.  
• Fill in Part 1 and Part II on the form. Obtain your current CoE advisor’s signature (leave blank the Advising Dean’s Signature in Part I and additional signatures in Part II). Bring the form to the Engineering II Building, room 303 or email the form to shoshana.armington@uconn.edu.  
• Please note, the additional degree advisor and advising dean signatures will be provided if admitted to the second-degree program.
